Photos of work

Year 4 have been investigating the permeability, density and composition of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.

5PH have been looking at the changing properties of materials, they carried out an investigation to find out which material was most appropriate to use to keep a lunchbox cool. They planned to carry this out by using the same size containers filled with ice and wrapped them with 4 different materials, foil, plastic, paper and cloth. They measured the temperature of the container at 2 minute intervals and found out that foil was the best insulator and kept the inside temperature the coolest and constant. Paper was an conductor as it allowed heat to enter the container.

Year 1 have been learning about animal survival needs. We made habitats for different groups of animals and provided them with food, air, water and shelter.
