Year 3 Let's Go Sing 2022=2023 at King George's Hall

Our Year 3 children are eagerly learning a variety of songs to sing and perform at King George's Hall.  There will be lots of other schools joining. Watch this space! 

Playing with the Halle Orchestra 2022

Year 4 went to the famous venue of The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to play with the Halle Orchestra.  They joined in with singing and playing thier guitars.  What a fantastic opportunity this was for the children to experience seeing a live orchestra and join in with them! 

Let's Go Sing at Ewood Park 2022

Year 4 enjoyed thier concert at Ewood Park.  They joined many schools and sang thier hearts out in front of parents.  The children were fantastic at learning thier songs and actions. The children have been learning the songs for many months for this finale! 

It was a long afternoon with the concert starting at 1pm and finishing at 8pm, with an amazing atmosphere and all voices joining to be one it was a proud moment for us all! 

Jack and the Beanstalk sing along! 

Early Years and Key Stage 1 will be taking part alongside other schools in a singing project.  They will be learning songs around Jack and the Beanstalk and will sing along virtually with all the other children.

Exciting News for Year 3!

Rehearsals for our Sing Together Project have started with a visit from the cathedral outreach music service joining us on Thursday. We are aiming to perform in a massed choir event at King George's Hall in March 2020.

Letters will be coming home this week for your child to reserve a place. There are limited spaces available.

Choir Performance

On Wednesday 22nd December 2018, our choir went to sing at The Royal Blackburn Hospital. Mrs Pathan took a group of children aged between 6 and 11 years old to entertain the patients and staff. Pictures can be seen in the 'Choir' section under the About Us heading.

Year 3 Sing Together Project

Over the year, pupils in Year 3 took part in the local school Sing Together Project. Schools from around the county rehearsed songs that they sang together in an amazing massed choir event at King George's Hall, Blackburn. They were a credit to the school and displayed great character and confidence when performing.

The songs were challenging but the children mastered them and showed the strong link between music, introducing new vocabulary and reading skills.
