Kindness Matters

2L are taking part in a project called 'Kindness Matters'. 

This is a 30 day challenge to promote kindness inside and outside the classroom. 

Over the next 30 days, 2L will complete a journal of their daily kindness. 

 

Today's kindness tip:

Don't say mean words or use gestures to other children 

"I love your hair today!"

Today's kindness tip:

Wash your hands

We practiced washing our hands correctly

Wipe your dirty feet

No pushing in the canteen area

Get up 30 minutes before everyone else in your house and tidy up!

Thank a member of the community who makes a daily difference, such as:

  • Lollipop person
  • Postman
  • The bin workers
  • A school volunteer

Create a bug house 

When we see a tiny, vulnerable insect on the floor, what do you think you SHOULD do?

Remember the work EMPATHY. 

 

We learnt about this in RE with the Golden Rule:

"Treat others how you would like to be treated"

SHARING IS CARING!

When we have someone new starting in our class, do you share your equipment, knowledge and your smile?

Read to another pupil in class.

 

Today's kindness tip:

Ask your teacher how their day has been.

Help elderly members of the community.

Ask a member of your family how their day has been.

If another pupil is upset, see if they are OK and, if possible, make them feel included.

Design a Thank You card.

This can be for a family member, teacher, a friend, or somebody who you feel makes a difference in their life.

Reduce, Re-use, Recycle

Return lost items (such as lunch boxes) to a member of staff or the reception office.

Hold doors open.

Fill up another pupil’s water bottle or get them a drink when you do.

Design or buy a gift for a family member.

Make new pupils feel welcome.

Donate to a shoe and clothes bank.

Help somebody tie their shoelaces.
